Lights Out!

Im trying to figure out where I stand on this whole helmet to helmet controversy in the NFL.

As a person who has been on the recieving end of multiple concussions, I definitely feel for some of these players.

BUT, I knew that there were consequences with playing football. It's a contact sport. I CHOSE not to play anymore because of the risk.

So NFL... Please dont take the fun out of football anymore. You already took endzone dances out and now touchdowns are boring. Go ahead and fine players for the helmet to helmet hits because a lot of them are aware of how they plan to tackle somebody. But dont suspend them, because then it could drastically hurt my fantasy football team.

  1. I love football - Always have. Watching since the 70's with the Steel Curtain, the Purple People Eaters, O.J., Mike Singletary, and every Sunday and Monday night since. I loved it then and I will still love it even if I don't see someone get hit sooo hard and get that hurt. I think they have to suspend but only with intent. Sometimes it just happens and that IS part of the game and the risk. But sometimes, it's intentional and that is just unnecessary. It could be your kid laying there paralyzed or with a season ending concussion. I would actually like it even more if I didn't hear the horrible stories of young man's life forever changed by an unnecessary hard hit.
